About IWAI
Welcome to our website!
The IWAI is an Association of international women in Izmir.
We have over eighty members now and every month new ladies join.
We unite women of different nationalities who came to Izmir for work, to be with a Turkish partner or return to their country of origin after living abroad.
Each month we organize a dinner, a coffee morning and other events to enjoy one another’s company and meet new friends in town.
These social contacts nurture greater understanding and appreciation of different cultures and create the opportunity to develop new friendships.
We actively support women who are new to Izmir assisting their transition to a new city through practical advice, friendship and integration into the international community.
Our commitment to fundraising for local charities and participating in charity projects is important to our association’s members and one that enables us to become involved in the local community.We are proud to have made a difference in the lives of some of our hosts.
The International Women’s Association of Izmir is a non-profit organization.
In October 2005 we became a legally registered Association.
If you are living in Izmir, are within traveling distance or just visiting we would be delighted to welcome you to one of our dinners or coffee mornings.

Probable relocation to Izmir from Montpellier (France) with my husbands job. Many questions but I am adaptable and sociable. No dependants except Cynth the Norwich terrier (she has EU passport).
